Christina Naegeli has been involved with Zumba for 5 years. She graduated high school from Brazil, where her family is living, and came to the University of Michigan to study Neuroscience. In 2011, after returning from a trip to work at an orphanage in Sri Lanka, she decided to get Zumba-certified, to raise money to be able to have more experiences working abroad. Most recently, she adventured to Brazil for 6 months, to work at an orphanage there and continue with Zumba. These days Christina is saving up for a trip next summer to China! She says, "I think dancing is one of the best exercises out there and love the way Zumba incorporates the dance world and the fitness world."
Tara, who also goes by Sweet T, is a fitness and sport enthusiast studying psychology at the University of Michigan. She has been studying and pursuing her passions in dance since age 10 and has tried almost everything there is to try in the dance and dance fitness world from drill team to salsa ballroom to belly dance. Her current career pursuits include becoming a sport psychologist and working with collegiate student athletes or professional athletes to provide counseling and performance therapy. She loves teaching dance and Zumba/Zumba Kids since receiving her licenses early this year as well as coaching children in the Ypsilanti area and developing and managing her belly dance troupe on campus at U of M.
